Guest guest
I heard on the radio this morning that a number of people have complained about being dive bombed by corvids (I think crows?) The RSPB is recommending people wear hard hats and flap their arms to pretend to be a large bird. Dis anyone else hear this and what do you think? Personally I know corvids like to hang aeound people they think are going to feed them and they also like to play by chasing other animals. They were either hungry and wanting to be fed, or when they realised they could frighten the humans they realised it was a good game. A lady I watch from the kitchen window feeds the wild birds and the crows follow behind her as she walks waiting for her to scatter the food. Also yesterday the BBC played some wild birds imitating a human whistling, a modem, a telephone, a hammer and saw and some aluminium ladders being extended. There is a CD of it you can buy. Guest guest
I haven't heard of crows doing that be we have alot of trouble with Mockingbirds in my area. There was a nest out by our pool and they kept chasing my kids and the dog. They will really peck cats and dogs in the yard, they can be very nasty when defending their nest or teritory.
