Tommy was found in the back of an Asian food store with 12 other red

eared sliders in a pan.

 

Apparently he was going to be raised and then become some sort of

chinese delicacy.

 

SO. I bought all 12 and placed all of them but no one seemed to want

the runt turtle who was missing the toe.

 

SO. He lives with us. Coincidentally this store never is allowed to

have any live food within its walls again, and has a ban on ever

owning turtles of any sort.

 

(They had been collecting and killing snapper turtles from a local

resovoir and eating them which is illegal in MN)
