i love lagunitas(brewed just north of me)

many moons ago, i got to brew and bottle up thar....hey, free labor for them,

free beer for me

anyways

on isinglass...here is an e-mail reply(not sent to me fyi)

" We don't use any animal products in our beers with the exception of our 1996

Olde GnarlyWine, which had honey added. Isinglass is a strange thing--how can

something that smells so bad make beer taste better?? And who came up with the

idea of fish swim bladders to clarify beer?? Sound like an unlikely accident... "

 

Emotional appeals about working families trying to get by on $4.25 an hour [the

minimum wage in 1996] are hard to resist. Fortunately, such families do not

exist.
