Guest guest
Hi: I am a new member. Please bear with me if I post a non-fit:) I wonder if teflon coated cookware do in-fact cause carcinogens to be generated during the cooking process? I have never used them before. Now i am forced to use them since I have no other option having switched to a electric cooktop. I do deep fry and high temperature stir- frys. Guest guest
I only have an electric cooktop and I NEVER use Teflon or other chemical coating of any kind! Teflon does have carcinogens. I believe they are imparted to the food during cooking, especially high temperature cookiing. Birds in the same room with teflon cookware in use will die. To me, that means it is not good for any living creature to be around! I use stainless steel or cast iron cookware and do just fine on my cooktop.
