Guest guest Posted January 27, 2008 Report Share Posted January 27, 2008 Simple Marinade for Tofu 1 1/4 cups water 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/4 maple syrup or honey 1 to 2 inch ginger root, unpeeled, grated and squeezed 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced (or 1/4 teaspoon granulated) 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil dash of hot sauce or cayenne (optional) Substitutions: Substitute 1 and 1/2 cups apple or other fruit juice in place of water, and omit other sweetening. Now if I may ask--I haven't had a WHOLE lot of experience with tofu yet other than heating it up on the stove--how long would you marinate tofu, and what, if anything, would you do with it after?
