My grandmother has dementia. It is so hard and so sad. I make her recepies too,

and remember how much she loved me and all the wonderful times we had. Be

strong.. Terri

expexted to pass any moment. I go everyday to give her fresh veggie juice I

juice for her. Sometimes I feel so sad when I return home, if I get her recipes

out and make something it lifts my spirits and makes me remember all the fun we

had in the kitchen together. I completely understand how those pies made you

feel.

Thank you so much, Donna, for remembering me!

My mother was ill for a while and died two weeks ago, that took up my

time and emotions for many months. But I want to share, that my mother was a

baker of pies, cakes, bread, etc., and I spent many hrs watching her bake.

I loved it! The day my mother died, she was in NH and I'm in Va, I baked

two lemon meringue pies in her honor and it made me feel close to her.

Cooking is a wonderful outlet for so many things, isn't it?
