Guest guest
Notice here that many of you have kitties and I thought I would share the secret we found for great kitty litter. We buy rabbit food alfalfa pellets. If anyone is interested, let me know(off list) and I will get the exact name of it for you. They are quite small pellets, all our cats like them, they REALLY hold the odor down. I clean the pans every 4 or 5 days now that we are down to just the one kitty (that won't last long, but we lost two old guys some months ago). When I change the pans, I use the dry parts of the litter (not the feces or the wet parts) and put it out in back around trees and the roses and my Brugmansias and my apple trees. Great fertilizer for those plants. And, by the way, it is a lot cheaper than any of those litters. We get it at a local feed store. Love hearing about all you folks taking in the needy cats. There are so many animals in need all the time. Zelda - zel29
