Guest guest
That's the big joke at my home. Donna, you drop off 2 bags at Goodwill and come home with 3 filled with books and Levi 501's with holes.......LOL Oh, I also gather food for the soup kitchen in my area and there's always people at the end of the freeway ramp with signs for food, work, etc. Guess what? I cook so much food that I bag up the leftovers and when I hot the signal on the way home I hand them my vegetarian food. They love it. I have a whole fan club out there on the streets. I have to do it, it's in my heart and soul. Mya my niece is the same. Day after Thanksgiving we made tons of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and fed the homeless down on Melrose Ave. and some areas in West Hollywood. It took only a total of 2 hours out of our 24 hr. day to help others. genny_y2k <genny_y2k wrote: Hooray for you Donna. You will receive so many blessings for donateing all the usable things to those in need. I do the same..In our family we " re gift " and my daughter and I buy as many items as we can from the ARC and Goodwill. We laugh as we drop off a bag and then come out the door with a bag of *new stuff*. In the last week I bought a pair of designer jeans for $3 and a pair of hand painted earrings (signed by the artist) for #1..Sat. is 1/2 off sale. Anybody need anything? Guest guest
There are instructions to set them up. They are all over the place on . You would have to choose another name and be careful not to infringe on their name. You can start a local Freecycle using their name only with their permission and instructions. You have people in here that can get you started, you will gain members a few at a time and you can have co-owners and moderators. Guest guest
You have to have permission from freecycle.org to start a new local group. They make sure that you are not in another groups teritory and no one near has a problem with a new group. They willl provide assistance and mentor you through setting one up. Since freecycle is a trademark name and copyrighted name, you cannot start a group without their approval. There are some rouge groups that have sprung up, but they cannot use the name freecycle so have limited success. With all the new stories recently about freecycle, people will be going to freecycle.org to find a local group and won't find a rouge group.
