Guest guest
Hello Annette, I can give you an advice that I found in one of the much respected sport nutritionists articles. When you exersize hard, your muscles go to the catabolic mode and they take time to recover -up to 1 or 2 days. During this time you will be tired and hungry . In order to shorten this period, you must consume food right before and especially after the workout, and it has to consist of certain ratio of carb and protein. No fat. I can get the ratio for you if you are interested, but now when I know , I make an orange juice with a bit of syrup and a scoop of protein powder. This can shorten recovery time to as little as 2 hours. Also, you should eat 5-6 times a day with protein in every meal to support your metabolism (are you doing this already)? I can refer you to the books and products of Brendan Brazier, the vegan athlete, I used many of his recipes. And for the 'constantly hungry' part, nothing helped me better that 'The Beck diet solution' - the book by a doctor in phycology who gives you tactics to deal with cravings with a help of cognitive therapy... Hope this helps Olga ______________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile.
