Thanks so much for adding me to your group. I am a vegan vegetarian

for about 10 years now and I love it. I really like the idea that I

am helping to save the earth, my life and the lives of animals that

would otherwise be killed for me to eat. I am excited to be

connected to like minded people. This is the first time I have

contact with kindred spirits.

I have one big problem maybe someone can help me out. I exercise

daily running/jogging 4 to 5 miles each day and weight training and

any other exercise, I can do in that day. I exercise 1 1/2 to 2 1/2

hours each day. The problem is I get ssssooooo hungry afterwards

that sometimes I come home and eat for the rest of the day!! Brown

rice pasta with tomato sauce, grains like millet and whatever else is

in the house. I also take protein powder before and after my work

out. I have a very very slow metabolism and although I am vegan I am

over weight. I see a holistic physician and he put me on a vitamin

and herb protocol for my thyroid. It is coming off very slowly but

it is taking a very long time for me to loose the weight (although I

have been overweight for most of my adult life), I really should not

be at this point in my life.

It is so embarassing when I tell people who ask that I am vegan.

They look at me perplexed because I am about 50 lbs over weight!! I

am 5'4 around 165 to 170 lbs according to the men it's all in the

right places!! Does anyone have any advice or is going through the

same thing. Please let me know.

Thanks

Annette
