Guest guest
It just occurred to me that we rarely use meat substitutes, saving them for treats (Gardenburger, veggie burger) I've used TVP in the past, when the kids lived at home, but since it isn't available locally, I haven't ordered any online in a while. The odd thing is that when we went veggie (over 20 years now), I cooked quite a bit with meat substitutes (TVP). Go figure. Hugs and love to all, Jeanne in GA Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Steph, you sound a LOT like me. Like, tonight I am making toasted " subs " with the Yves deli slices, but the menu for the next 4 days afterwards are all meat substitute free. Usually we use them twice a week, on days when we have swim team or judo or music classes. Today, though, my excuse is that the Giants are playing - toasted sandwiches just seem " right " with NFL!!!! LOL! , Steph <mrswalp29 wrote: > > Jeanne, > Being a relatively new Veggie we use a lot of Quorn and TVP products. It is a good adjustment for our kids 11 and 6 years old to make the adjustment but as time goes by I would like to have more meals closer to the earth with beans and tofu. It tends to always feel like fast food around here so now we have limited any " ckn " patty or burgers to once a week. > > > =^.^= Steph > > > > Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Have any of you tried the meatless meatballs and sauce for a meatball sandwich? Makes a good football sandwich!
