Guest guest
I cook brown rice both ways and like them equally Donna Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile " heartfeltendeavors " <heartfelt Sat, 12 Jan 2008 15:12:51 Has anyone compared oven-baked brown rice with rice cooker? Good morning! I made the Cook's Illustrated Foolproof Oven-Baked Brown Rice, and it turned out wonderfully (made me a brown rice convert!!). http://kitchen- <http://kitchen-parade-veggieventure.blogspot.com/2006/03/by-request-> parade-veggieventure.blogspot.com/2006/03/by-request- cooks-illustrateds.html My question is, is there anyone out there who has tried this method, and a rice cooker, and can compare the results? I'm thinking about getting a rice cooker (a Breville Gourmet Duo on clearance for 29.99) which would be a little more energy efficient, and easier to make larger batches, but I'm hoping the brown rice would turn out as yummy as in the oven. Has anyone had the opportunity to compare and contrast? How about anyone with a rice cooker who is willing to give the oven-baked a try and compare for me? Would greatly appreciate any help!!!!! happy trails, Deb

Guest guest
The link doesn't open a page. I am very interested in brown rice recipies that turn out good. I have several that don't.
