Guest guest
Hello- I just wanted to introduce myself. I am currently living in Texas with my husband. I am into sustainable living.. and trying to get there as best as I can. I live in the city, gated community, so I am not where I would like to be but I do as much as I can. I am really into organics, candle making, soap making, crafts, recycling, etc. I have two dogs that are like my children and they just had puppies (right before christmas- so tiny!). I am going to school for a biology major and hopefully plan on doing something big with it. Until then, I am a preschool teacher. Can't wait to learn from all of you! HOpe you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! Dee
Guest guest
-Welcome Dee, At one time I lived for several years in what I called an " ideal place " . A mountain cabin with virgin soil. It was pure Heaven. Now I am in the city but we do what we have to do. We just have to do the best we can with what we have. I still 'organic' container garden and even have some patio compost containers. Congratulation for all you are doing. You will love this group of 'like minds.' And a never ending supply of new and exciting recipes from around our world. I too recycle in every way possibly. I buy almost all my clothing and household items at my local ARC thrift store. I often find organic cotton clothing, etc. I buy local organic produce if at all possible and take along my own cloth bags. Actually it is a challenge to discover new inventive ways to live a happy healthy lifestyle. (Well, not right now, considering it's winter.) I'm always trying new seeds to see which ones do well in containers. Do you have any particular " star performers " ? Any advice appreciated.
