Hello Naomi

I'm Cathy, and I am new to the group, but I haven't had time to introduce myself

yet, as I have been so busy over Christmas and have hardly been home.

I noticed you are probably a vegetarian on a diabetic diet and just wanted to

mention to you that I just noticed a book today with low GI food for

vegetarians. I can't remember the exact title but I think it was similar to " low

GI food for vegetarians " .

I am in Australia and low GI is a big thing that is encouraged for diabetics,

and people that want to lose weight - eating with a low Glycomic Index , so that

the food burns slowly during the day.

It is the first time that I noticed a low GI book aimed at vegetarians, so I

just wanted to let you know that they are out there.

regards

Cathy

Re: high protein recipies

My diabetic diet wants me to eat 60-80 g of protein a

day. Not terribly difficult. A good source of protein is Quinoa. It

is soooo good. I put it in everything!
