Butterscotch Chip Cookies

My Step sis in law made these at Christmas 2006 and they were sooo good! I tried

to make them however and was serverly dissappointed in how they turned out..

They flattened out completely and didnt rise at all.. They were etable but that

was about it.. As for appearences I was embarrassed to give them out in the

buckets that I gave away. Hubby and my steps sis's hubby reassured me that

sometimes her cookies looked like that too but I couldnt get past how flat they

were..

1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup butter, softened

1 tsp vanilla extract

3/4 cup white sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 large egg

2 tbsp milk

1-1/2 cups butterscotch chips

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Stir well or sift together flour, baking soda and salt.

Cream butter with vanilla and sugars.

Beat in egg and milk.

Stir in butterscotch chips and then fold in flour mixture.

Drop by tablespoons onto greased baking sheet, 1-inch apart.

Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Yield: 3 dozen cookies
