Guest guest
Chewy Oatmeal Cookies I made these specifically to try out for myself.. I dont think that they went over well.. My husband ate them but did comment that they were hard so Im wondering if maybe my Crisco butter sticks were bad and I should have just used regular crisco.. I did not how ever make another batch to find out as I ran out of time.. I may put these on the list for a trial for next year. 3/4 cup (2/4 stick) crisco 1 1/4 light brown sugar 1 egg 1/3 cup milk 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 3 cups quick oats, uncooked 1 cup flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/3 tsp cinnamon 1 cup raisins 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease baking sheet with crisco. Place sheets of foil on countertop for cooling cookies. Combine crisco, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed, just until blended. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop rounded tablespoonfulls of dough 2 " apart onto baking sheet. Bake one baking sheet at a time for 10 to 12 min, or until lightly browned. Cool 2 min on baking sheet. Remove cookies to foil to cool completely. Make_it_Party_Recipes Make_it_Italian_Recipes Check them out
