Guest guest
My favorite Christmas cookies, you can make them clentine or tangerine too. Mae Jean Orange-Nut Refrigerator Cookies 1 cup soft butter 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons orange peel, grated or tangerine or clementine 3 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup walnuts, finely minced Cream butter and sugars. Add egg and beat until fluffy. Stir in orange peel. Sift flour, measure and mix with baking soda, salt and nuts. Add to butter mixture and mix well. Divide dough in half and shape each into a roll 7 inches long and 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and chill until firm. Cut into slices about 1/4-inch thick. Bake on greased cookie sheets in a 375 degree oven for about 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned ______________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing.
