Guest guest
LOL I've only used frozen bananas to make smoothies or ice cream. I hadn't thought about doing it for this. Do they thaw with a nice texture for making banana bread? Judy - Marilyn Daub Tuesday, December 18, 2007 3:54 AM Re: Carrot Cinnamon Bread Judy I buy bananas when on sale, peel them and freeze them. Guest guest
Yes, I second the recommendation for freezing bananas. Once I had several boxes since my partner works on food commercials and they were using them in filming, and were going trough lots and lots of bananas. Gave a bunch to the neighbors and still had about 3 large boxes left....so I peeled and bagged them, filled the freezer pretty much. The frozen bananas are great for frozen deserts, for banana strawberry smoothies (we also had strawberries that went trough he same fate)and to make banana bread! it does not matter at all that the bananas were previously frozen, the taste and texture of the bread is the same! what a nice discovery isn't? , " wwjd " <jtwigg wrote: > > LOL I've only used frozen bananas to make smoothies or ice cream.
