Guest guest
Well, it varies every day depending on what's in my fridge/freezer. I just made today's and it was: - 6oz bag of organic baby spinach - 1 heart of romaine - 1 green apple (I don't usually use apples, but it was starting to go soft) - 1 banana - frozen mango (from Trader Joes) - a smidge of blackstrap molasses - flax seed - a bit of agave nectar - apple juice Blend it up in a really strong blender - I have a Vitamix. (Best thing I ever bought and it's been instrumental in my weight loss and other health improvements.) When it's blended, I throw in a small handful of raw almonds and turn it off pretty quickly. I like them to be chunky - I enjoy chewing them as I drink. This makes a very large amount and I drink half for breakfast and I'll have the other half when I'm hungry - anywhere from 11am to 3pm. It's amazingly filling. I usually also use chard, collards, kale, bok choy, or dandelion greens, but I'm out of those, so after the gym I'll stop by the store. That's the big difference between me now and a year ago, I think. Yes, I ate some penuche yesterday, but I _enjoyed_ it and now, it's over and back to my regular routine. So, this is how those thin people do it! :-) Sharon connie taylor wrote: > mmmm... green smoothie sounds good, how do you make that?
