If you are new to cooking veggies I would say the best thing to do is invest in a steamer, steaming is the healthiest way to cook vegetables and to me the best as it retains the flavour and colour as well as the nutrients – and you can keep checking to see if the veggies are done to your taste – for me this means seriously al dente as I hate soggy veg!
