Guest guest
This is a good basic creamy sauce/gravy with a vaguely cheesy type of flavor. I used it on some leftover boring seitan and enjoyed it. I've finally got a few good recipes that use nutritional yeast (and please don't tell me to sprinkle it on popcorn--that doesn't work for me) and taste GOOD (Marvi Whip & Scrambled Tofu, for 2). Thanks, Pat! , " Pat " <a0003539 wrote: > > This gravy is tasty over vegetables, potatoes, vegetarian " chicken " nuggets(the morning star farm ones) and biscuits, > I am going to make a shepherds pie this > weekend and use this gravy for a sauce for the vegetables. > > > > Vegetarian Gravy > > > > ½ cup nutritional yeast > > ¼ cup all purpose flour > > Pepper to taste (we like a lot) > > 2 cups milk > > 1 T (or more to taste) Soy Sauce > > > > Mix dry ingredients then add milk slowly & stir to eliminate lumps.
