Guest guest
TNT Vegetarian-Vegan friendly I decided to experiment with fresh Brussels Sprouts for lunch today and the recipe turned out very good. I am serving this over cubed boiled new red potatoes. Creamed Brussels Sprouts (with pearl onions and faux sausage) 1 dozen small fresh Brussels Sprouts cut in half 1 dozen pearl onions peeled left whole 1 cup crumbled faux sausage( I used Gimme lean) 2-3 Tablespoons olive oil Sautee Brussels Sprouts(cut side down), pearl onions and faux sausage until lightly browned. Optional: Cream sauce (I think this recipe would also be good without the sauce and served over rice or mashed potatoes.) 3 Tablespoons Smart Balance 2 Tablespoons flour 3-4 cups soy milk In a small sauce pan melt Smart Balance , add floor stirring constantly slowly whisk in soy milk..Simmer for apx. 10 minutes until thickens. Add to Brussels Sprouts, onion, Gimme Lean mixture. Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are done. Deanna in Colordo
