Guest guest
So last night I found myself playing egg rolls and won tons again. Made egg rolls with mushrooms/onions/mozzarella cheese. Those turned out great. Then I had all these won ton wrappers left, from when I tried making crab rangoon, without the crab. So, I took out a jar of jalapenos, drained them really well, put a few hunks of cheddar on a won ton, piled on some jalapenos (sliced, pickled), slapped another won ton on top, sealed it up and dropped in the deep fryer. Turned out great! So then I decided I wanted something sweet...eyed the won ton wrappers. Got some butter & brown sugar. Took 2 won tons, put butter on both, took a round tablespoon, made a ball of packed brown suger, put that on a won ton, put 2nd wrapper over it, sealed it up and dropped in the deep fryer. Fried for about 1 minute, then dusted it with confectioners sugar. OMG !!!! Was it ever good! Next time I think I will add some crushed nuts to the filling and some cinnamon on top with the confectioners sugar. Di Get easy, one-click access to your favorites. Make your homepage. Guest guest
Sounds wonderful. And...I use the wrappers in place of lasagna noodles in a tofu/eggplant lasagna. I freeze whatever wrappers are left over and they are good to go for the next batch. Guest guest
Ohhhh...I never thought about using them for lasagna! One more thing to add to my 'to try' list. Geez that list is getting long, lol. Di , " Sue " <kup wrote: > > Sounds wonderful. And...I use the wrappers in place of lasagna noodles in a > tofu/eggplant lasagna.
