Amalou - Moroccan Almond Honey Butter

8 oz Blanched white almonds, toasted

4 fl oz walnut oil

1/2 tsp Salt

2 fl oz thick honey

 

 

 

 

 

In a blender or food processor, mix pulse the almonds

with the walnut oil and salt.

 

When smooth, spoon in honey and blend for 30 seconds.

 

Keep in an airtight container. Use to spread on

breads.

 

Serves 4

boiled eggs, and coffee in the mornings in Morocco.

Sublime. Every family has its own recipe for amalou.

This one is pretty common with its use of walnut oil.
