Guest guest Posted November 20, 2007 Report Share Posted November 20, 2007 Lentils,rice, Quinoa etc. are delicious pre toasted before putting them in your favorite soups,porridge, etc. If you have an iron skillet 'dry'(without oil) toast the grains until they are light brown. This gives the grains a roasted nutty flavor. You can also roast the grains in the oven. Careful not to over brown/burn. These toasted grains also make a delicious gravy.
