Guest guest Posted November 20, 2007 Report Share Posted November 20, 2007 Herbed Orzo With Basil And Pecans 2 teaspoons vegetable oil 1 cup finely chopped onion 2 cloves garlic, crushed 2 cups vegetable broth 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 teaspoon dried basil 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1 cup orzo, uncooked 2 tbsps chopped ecans, toasted Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring frequently, until onion is tender, about 4 minutes. Add small amounts of water as necessary, about a tablespoon at a time to prevent sticking. Add remaining ingredients, except orzo. Bring mixture to a boil, then stir in orzo. Cover, reduce heat to medium low, and cook 15 minutes, until the liquid has been absorbed.
