I think it would be great of you to go and help feed folks at the nursing home.

What a great service and I know they would enjoy the friendly faces of visitors

there that help make their day more special. Older folks are special folks that

add a lot to our lives and we can add a lot to their sometimes lonely days too.

What is your favorite way to celebrate

Thanksgiving?

 

 

Unfortunately, this year, as with many past, my partner has to work

Thanksgiving. That used to be a given, for both of us; hospitals and

nursing homes never quit. After I stopped working, I still cooked for

others, but last year, as this, birds are out of my vocabulary, with

the exception of buying seed and feeding them. We have decided on

eggplant lasagna, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, kraut, another

veggie casserole, and pumpkin pie. Our families are gone, and I may go

to his,(place of employment), nursing home and help serve. Giving to

others is our greatest gift, after all is said and done, and what we

receive is priceless.
