Oh yes use yellow so it can match the recipe name I gave it.

RE: Question about Yellow Submarine Soup

Judy, thanks so much, I looked at the picture and that is exactly what I

use, chili flakes, this makes me much more confident about many recipes now

:-).

I saw your review mentioning using green peas instead of yellow ones but I

have a whole heap of yellow so will use them but was really unsure about the

red pepper flakes. Can’t wait to try this tomorrow :-).

Carolyn (ps my other screen name is cwwjd :-))

Yes that would be the same thing as chili flakes. I omited the black

pepper when I made this. I also used cayenne(ground instead of chili

flakes. It is very good.

flakes look like.

BTW I used green split peas, because I didn't have any yellow ones and it is

very good that way too.

Enjoy,

Judy

[vegetarian_-group] Question about Yellow Submarine Soup

I want to make this tomorrow after so many good reviews, but have a query as

I am in the UK and am a bit confused about the red pepper flakes as far as I

know we don't get " red pepper flakes " - does this mean chili flakes? Red

pepper to me means a large pepper, what I think you call a bell pepper in

the States? This is not something hot at all. But we get chilli flakes

which are red, and hot, is this the right thing to put in my soup?

Thanks!

Carolyn

Like Christie said it needs a mini crookneck squash floating around in the bowl

like a submarine.
