Guest guest
Hello, My sister recommended that I sign up for this group because she said that its members are environmentally creative and might be able to help me find a Grey Water washer, or a washer that has a " suds-saver " option. I realize that this is a bit off-topic, but she said that this group has some clever respondents who might be able to help me conserve water... These washers save water in the laundry tub, then you can reuse the water a few times before disposing of it. I have found grey-water recycling systems, but have been told that the city where I reside prohibits grey water to be used for watering lawns or gardens. But actually, that is entirely different from what I am seeking. However, I will need a new washer before the year is out, and I would like to purchase one that is envirnomentally friendly-- especially since the country is facing such water concerns. I have spent hours on the web and have called several appliance stores, but have found nothing of the sort. I know that such washers used to exist, as my mother and grandmother each used to have such appliances. If someone could direct me to a vendor who sells washers that allow users to reuse their water, or knows a company that can modify a washer to do this, I would be very appreiative. Thank you for your help and suggestions! " )
