Guest guest
I get this canned enchilada sauce that I love, it's made by a company called " el rio " . Ingredients are:Water, wheat flour, red enchilada seasoning (spices, paprika, salt, garlic, citric acid), soybean oil, vinegar, salt, cayanne pepper. Those are the indgredients exactly as they appear on the can. Has anyone ever made or heard of recipe resembling this? I was surprised to see the main ingredient as wheat flour, in my collection of mexican recipes I don't think I have any sauces with wheat flour as the main ingredient. If I had a general idea about proportions I would try to reproduce it. I get the hot variety and it is red colored, which leads me to believe there is ALOT of paprika. Anyways, if anyone has any idea where to start on imitating this, I would love to hear them. Thanks, Di
