Guest guest
Hi Jerry, Cilantro has a taste of it's own. You can sun with parsley or watercress but it is not the same flavor. If you find dried cilantro it's very blah, doesn't taste at all like the fresh. I think you need a warmer climate to grow it. I'm in Calif and it will grow in a pot on my porch. Does well during the summer months. Donna --- jerry_symonds <jerry.symonds wrote: > Hi there, > > I live in England and have noticed that a lot of the > recipies posted > to this site use cilantro. Guest guest
It grows like dandilions durring our cool summers. I don't think it is a heat issue. I think it is more the amound of sunlight. Durring the summers we have up to 23.5 hours of daylight a day and 18-20 hours of direct sunshine. I dry mine and use it all winter. It isn't the same, that is true, but it is better than no cilantro at all. Katie in Anchorage Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: Hi Jerry, Cilantro has a taste of it's own.
