Guest guest
Hello, I never really thought about it, but I was very lucky to be brought up on a farm, complete with the old garden veggies. This has given me a step up, in enjoying the many recipes of using what city dweller may not have ever tried. Rutabaga, kohlrabi, parsnips, turnips, Brussels sprouts and yes CABBAGE! All wonderful Yeah! The cabbage diet was always tasty to me and I must get back to it to help take off more pounds. This is best used by being sensible and varying your meals. Use the vegetable to cut calories, if this is something that will help you. Veggies and Cabbage soup 6 large green onions 2 green peppers 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole) 1 bunch celery 1/2 head cabbage 1 package Onion Soup Mix 1 or 2 cubes bouillon of the veg. variety 1 48 oz. can V8 Juice (optional but tasty!) Season to taste (salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc). Any type pf vegan or regular cottage cheese adds flavor as a topping to the soup I hope if you are trying to trim, that this may be a good idea for you. Barb K.
