Guest guest
oh that sounds beautiful. When I was a child we lived on one hillside in Tennessee and faced another hillside. It was always so pretty at night when the lights on the other hillside came on. We had a picture window that faced it. Your city, ocean and fire island view sound so scenic. Do you ever have trouble getting off your hillside once you get all that snow? All summer when the leaves are on the trees, I can't see the water, but when the leaves fall, I can see the water again. It is probably 3 or 4 miles away, but I love looking at it and at Fire Island off in the distance. I can see the water durring the winter, too, but once it is covered with ice and snow it isn't so nice to look at Katie
Guest guest
I don't live very far up the hill. I am only about 1 block off a major road and 5 blocks from a major intersection so if I can get off the little road I live on, onto the main drag, I have no trouble. Higher up the hill, they can get snowed in for days at a time. Most of us who live on the hillside have 4 wheel drive to get around in the snow. In addition to being able to see the inlet in winter, on clear days, I am able to see Mt. McKinnley 500 miles north of us. Katie wwjd <jtwigg wrote: oh that sounds beautiful.
