Guest guest Posted November 1, 2007 Report Share Posted November 1, 2007 Fruit With Wine Marinade 1 cup pitted canned red cherries, drained, juice reserved 1 cup diced fresh or canned orange sections or mandarin orange 1 cup fresh pineapple or pear chunks, grapes, or other fruit in season, diced into bite sized pieces, or use frozen Marinade: 1/2 cup dry red wine 1/4 cup cherry juice 1/4 cup grape or currant jelly 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice 1/8 teaspoon salt Heat wine and cherry juice to simmering; add jelly and stir until melted. Remove from heat and add lemon or lime juice and salt. Cool. Drain fruits and combine in a bowl. Pour marinade over fruits and cover. Chill several hours.
