Guest guest
how can we explain the fact that the US government has labeled ALF and ELF the number one domestic terrorists in the US and made the statement: " to vow to protect the american people from these terrorists " When the fact is that in 30 years of existence ALF has never actually killed anyone. I think that these statements are just a little off. I know that violence is violence, but I also know that this is Politics. These huge corporations( mcdonalds), pharmaceuticals, land developers, the walmarts, have a lot to lose if (mainstream- i.e. the majority of people) suddenly stopped eating meat and also started caring/ procteting native habitats, forests, etc. a priority. they are both, the scientists , and the ALF commiting acts of violence one of them can even be classified as torture. the difference is that one of them is legal the other is not. why is there such an interest to classify these people as terrorists? who are the real Beasts? what is terrorism? are they (the government) not the ones causing fear in people with statements such as these? Why is only one form of violence HIGHLIGHTED? corportations are allowed to kill animals simply because they are protected by the law. Laws are not God. laws where made by people and people are flawed. many amendments have been made which corrected original laws, for instance when it was ilegal for women to vote. it takes a squeaky wheel, sometimes you have to yell and make a racket in order to be heard. All that is necessary for the truimph of evil if for good men to do nothing. -edmund burke
Guest guest
I am not going to get into the debate about the rights or wrongs of the ALF and associated groups, also the groups who pull up GM crops etc, but the reason the media and governmnents label such groups as " terrorists " is to do with mind control. The way we speak and read about things influences how we feel about them and the reason for such labelling is to change the public's perception. Obvious, maybe, but I thought it needed to be said. Just go and read " 1984 " by George Orwell and all will become clear, if it isn't already. Guest guest
I don't think that answers the question of what has been gained.
