Guest guest
ok..just got this off another site... but this week, kids in New York state will all be tested as part of Bushies " no child left behind crap " test test test til they drop here is an actual test..for 8 yr olds... " The year 1999 was a big one for the Williams sisters. In February, Serena won her first pro singles championship. In March, the sisters met for the first time in a tournament final. Venus won. And at doubles tennis, the Williams girls could not seem to lose that year. " And here's one of the four questions: " The story says that in 1999, the sisters could not seem to lose at doubles tennis. This probably means when they played " A two matches in one day " B against each other " C with two balls at once " D as partners " ok.. so someone tell me how this is not slanted toward rich upper class ppl who have a second house in the hamptons and tad comes voer for doubles on saturday? how many kids in harlem are gonna even have a clue wot is going on? kids in downtown albany? syracuse? buffalo? this is no different from the IQ tests they gave back in the high tide of eugenics and forced sterilization 100 yrs ago..to prove poor ppl, minorities and rural folk were unfit and should all be sterilized, locked up, etc... welcome to the new amerikkka...same as the old, just now with cell phones... " Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. ... Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.
