Ontario Winter Carnival BONSOO is the second largest winter carnival in Ontario

with more than 125 events for the entire family; indoor and outdoor events

include winter sports, snow sculptures, festive dances, games, entertainment,

fireworks, the Polar Bear swim, and the Fantasy Kingdom winter playground.

Come to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada and discovered a remedy for those

mid-winter blahs, and enjoy the ten-day event in late January and early

February.

The Saranac Lake Winter Carnival, the oldest mid winter festival in the eastern

United States, will celebrate its 109th anniversary when it returns to the

Adirondack Mountain village of Saranac Lake, NY from February 3 to February 12,

2006. The theme for 2006 is " The Roaring Twenties. "

The Quebec Winter Carnival, Celebration in the Snow

As early as 1894 the first celebrations of the Quebec Winter Carnival were

already taking place. Quebec´s joyous mid-winter festival helped calm the

day-to-day worries caused by an economic crisis affecting the whole continent.

Feb 16th thru feb 21 2006

2/12 to 2/20: Iroquois Mid-Winter Ceremony--for continuation of all

life-sustaining things; celebrated with tobacco offerings, confession of

offenses, singing, drumming, dancing, name- giving, and dream-telling.

gawd we argue about the dumbest stuff

hahahahahahahah

what is peace

to the people

who work the land

and die in wars?

it was learned in a game

that was played by us all

who held the top of the hill

from the rest was called the king

and I can't believe it all

was good for humankind
