Senate leaders were expected to withdraw the legislation so it could be reworked without the refuge language. The vote was 56-44. what is peace to the people who work the land and die in wars? it was learned in a game that was played by us all who held the top of the hill from the rest was called the king and I can't believe it all was good for humankind
Guest guest
Boy oh boy or boy. bush administration is sure having its hard knocks aren't they? Can't think of a better group of people to keep getting slammed. But four votes? Bush is scrambling big time trying to revive his sinking ship. Have you ever seen him doing so many address the nation sort of things, speeches live and televised and news conferences. They are all in a panic. His handlers have done a good job on training him although if the reporters can just ratchet it up he will again look like the monkey he is. I just am wondering how much the people are swallowing his bull. This spying on Americans is sure causing an uproar. It seems really strange to me too since the public has been being warned about it for years. Now there is a man with a god complex. You saw when he got irritated when a staff person told him that it was against the constitution (can't remember the issue right now) he said that the damn constitution was just a piece of paper? But on TV he holds that all will be well in Iraq once they have a constitution. The UK needs to haul ass with their troops cause Bush is a losing proposition. Why allow their children to be killed in a war that is turning more into a civil war than anything. linda "Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it."Mohandas Gandhi linda's Growing Stitchery Projects: womyn47 - fraggle TFHB ; Wednesday, December 21, 2005 9:52 AM oh thank bacchus one baby step toward the light...after running 6 miles away from itSenate blocks attempt to allow drilling in Alaska refugeWednesday, December 21, 2005; Posted: 12:49 p.m. EST (17:49 GMT) Drilling supporters fell four votes short of getting the required 60 votes to avoid a threatened filibuster of the defense measure over the oil drilling issue.
