Guest guest
We are going to my daughter's husband's parents for the holidays and I need to take a dish with me so that we have something to eat too. I have never made a loaf but thought that would be a good thing that the family might enjoy too. However, I haven't been able to find one that sounds good. I had heard of ones made with nuts too and that sounded excellent, but can't find a recipe. Has anyone got a really favorite one that they would share in this emergency? I have some ideas of how to put one together, but hate to experiment at this late date. linda

Guest guest
Is this one of those "let them eat cake" scenarios? (yes, I know that she didn't really say that). LOL See, I need to take something so that we have something to fill our tummies with and dessert is great after that filling of the tummy. But for the main course we would all be bouncing off the walls and for breakfast wouldn't cut it either. That is why I thought some sort of un-meat loaf would work. I did google lentil roast and have some ideas but looks like I will have to make my own concoction and hope to Santi that it is edible. Tofu cheesecake is now making my mouth water. linda "Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it."Mohandas Gandhi linda's Growing Stitchery Projects: womyn47 - peter hurd A dessert may be easier?, plenty of vegan cakes are easy, fruit crumbles, tofu cheesecakes, etc. Sorry, cant help with un meat loaf never found one I liked, especially nut roasts...bleugh!, I nearly had a recipe off another vegan the other week for a lentil roast that he swore by, but alas I forgot.............getting older you see!
