Mercury in teeth

One thing that I wanted to mention about the removal of the mercury in your teeth is to make sure that you have it done by someone that is a specialist in it or your will have it in your body. It is a difficult and really expensive procedure. I have a friend with MS that is getting it done. But you need to make sure you get a dental specialist trained, experienced and with the appropriate equipment...it is tantamount to getting asbestos out of your house...special clothing, equipment and methods are employed or you are worse off than if you had just left the stuff alone. Once they go in to get it it flies around.

I have a M.D. who only deals with homeopathy, unless of course it is a major thing going. But then he assists in making sure that the treatment you might need is the only course to take, explaining it to you, telling you the negatives as well as the positives. I am kind of like the canary...you know the canary is lowered into the mine and if it comes up dead it is not safe for miners to go down? Give me a medicine and my body is insulted and rages over it. So have given up on that. The doctor asked me not to take the flu shot last year, but I had been taking it every year for 10 years. I took it, got sick, didn't take it this year. I take a homeopathic "whatever" called Oscillococcinum, five a week for the winter flu season. It acts to boost the immune system although it is labeled as a flu medicine. My doctor recommended it. One thing is that homeopathy is coming into its own here in the states and then is still open to much ridicule unlike Europe where it is well respected and used.

One thing I've decided to do towards thatstep is to remove all the amalgum fillings in my mouthdue to the mercury. One book I read that influencedmy decision was The Mercury in Your Mouth. Researchwas cited, but there were also anecdotal stories aswell (which are something to think about if not relyupon). There were examples of people with MSimproving substantially after having the amalgamsremoved and some other examples as well.

I am going to a specialist; this was one of the points

emphasized in the book I read and in the research I've

been doing. I just don't think I'll do I.V. chelatian

therapy.

Alternative medicine is slowly being excepted here in

the U.S., at least where I live. Group Health covers

it. I am near Seattle and they have Bastyr University

which is really nice. Susan

Oh, yes, BASTYR!!! That is a wonderful school and so very well respected. My sister-in-law went to Brian Utting's school of massage about 10 years ago and they utilized Bastyr for some of the work. She loved it. Seattle is a great place to live. I lived on Whidbey Island and my husband's parents and other family lived in Kent so we were in Seattle a lot. Of course the traffic has gotten impossible. LOL
