( San Francisco, CA) November, 2005, Green Festival ’05 , a joint

project of Global Exchange and CO-OP America, brought together the

Bay Area Community for two energetic days of socially responsible

shopping, options for creating thriving green living as well as a

solid platform for some of the foremost speakers and industry leaders

in the green space. The event, which took place on November 5 th and 6

th at the Councourse Exhibition Center, was attended by over 30,000

cementing what has now become an overwhelming commitment to

environmentally sound living.

biodiesel) and sustainable living overall.

diverse local and national green businesses displaying and selling

eco friendly, fair trade and sustainable products.  Over 125

environmental, socially conscious, and visionary speakers appeared

speaking events.  Also included on the show floor: Grassolean

Solutions, creation of the first biodiesel facility, making fuel from

recycled french-fry oil; Green Home Remodeling Visions and

Don't need no politician

Tell me things I ought to be

Neither no optician

Tell me what I ought to see

No one tells you nothing

Even when you know they know

They tell you what you should be

They don't like to see you grow
