An estimated 12,800 animalsdied in the research of the sugar substitute Splenda. HLS used pregnantrabbits, beagle dogs, and primates to test Splenda, administering up to1200 times the estimated daily intake. Thirty two beagles were used andafter weeks of having the substance pumped into them, they were killedby exsanguination B having their throats slit. The primates in theSplenda experiments suffered brain defects, mood swings, severe weightloss, anxiety, fear loneliness, and then ultimately, death.
