Re:hospital food (I'm getting a bit OT here)

 

 

The worst thing I was served in a hospital??? The morning after surgery, when I

had been up all night barfing from the morphine, my breakfast was a plate of

pancakes with syrup and butter and coffee. I won't even bother telling you what

happened when I took the cover off the food and looked at it. What were they

thinking? It was Shrove Tuesday and everyone was served pancakes whether they

liked them or not. It was a special 'treat'.

 

I bought a second smaller rice cooker this week and had perfect rice twice. I'm

in love with my rice cooker.

 

I'm off to Houston in an hour for the next week. I have gone no mail on all of

my lists except this one. I want those digests waiting for me when I get home.

I'm paranoid about not missing any great recipes and not much for reading the

mail on the web.

 

I hope everyone has a week as great as mine will be.
