Guest guest
A couple weeks ago I was raving about a crumbleberry bar I bought at my local Great Harvest Bread store. I googled it and there was a recipe, and it is PERFECT. This must be exactly what the store makes. This is my new favorite. I forgot that the Great Harvest ingredient list said whole wheat flour, I used white but next time I'm trying the WW. Oh, and I didn't have a lemon to zest. Amy Crumbleberry bars Ingredients: Crust and topping • 1-1/2 c. oats • 1-1/2 c. flour • 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed • 2 sticks butter Filling (combine all) • 12 oz. blueberries • 2/3 c. preserves • 5 tbsp. flour • 1 tbsp. lemon zest Crust and topping: In a food processor, combine oats and flour for 30 seconds. Add sugar and pulse for 30 seconds. Add butter and pulse to form a crumbly crust. Press one half of the crumble mixture into a butterred pan. Bake at 350º for 11-13 minutes. Top with filling mixture and the remaining crumble. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. (Also excellent served warm with ice cream) ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
