Guest guest
1 med. head cabbage, coarsely chopped 1 med onion, chopped 2 carrots, sliced thickly 2 ribs cellery, sliced thickly Salt & pepper to taste 1 Tbs. canola oil 1 cup hot water Put prepared veggies in large pot. Add salt and pepper on top. Sprinkle with 1 tsp. sugar. Add the canola oil. It isn't necessary to stir. Pour hot water over all. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 10 minutes or until carrots are cooked through but still a little crisp. Enjoy! I usually add the carrots, celery, and onion first to the pot with the cabbage on top. This way the cabbage isn't overcooked. This is my favorite way to fix cabbage. Yum!
