Guest guest
I browsed through this book today and love it. I wont make all the recipes, after all I am a working single mom who's main goal most days is to get something on the table fast that the kid will eat. But what is really good about the book is her explanations of so many things that probably seem common place to most long term vegetarians. She talks a lot about different cheeses (this isnt a vegan book) different grains, different soups (I love soup) and how to make a perfect crepe. I like this book. I especially like the fact I paid a dollar for it and it is in very good shape. So the days I want to make something a 'little nicer' I know what book to grab. On the topic of bad days. I took my kid to a class at our local zoo. While she was in class I went to the 'restaurant' and I use the term loosely. Anyway I grabbed a spinach/cheese wrap. They had several different kinds, some of them were turkey/cheese, etc. But this was in a different compartment and the wraps around it were gralic/herb, tomato/lettuce, anyway you get the idea. The place has 'low lighting' and I'm not wearing my glasses. I sit down to eat and am thinking about everything going on and am eating my wrap and I get thinking something about this wrap is not right. I open it up and it has bacon inside. I was not a happy girl. Why call it a spinach/cheese wrap and then put bacon inside? Shouldn't it be called a spinach/cheese/bacon wrap? I am complaining to the main administration tomorrow. It has been just over a month since I have eaten red meat or pork and so I guess my tastebuds arent finally tuned yet. I am still accustomed to eating bacon so I didnt react to it immeadiately. But I am not happy with the zoo cafeteria people. Kandi
