Guest guest Posted October 14, 2007 Report Share Posted October 14, 2007 Chunky Tomato Sauce with Green Olives over pasta 2 tablespoons olive oil 1/4 cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic, crushed 3 tablespoons garlic stuffed olives, chopped 1 28 oz. can whole plum tomatoes, with juice 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped salt and pepper to taste 16 ozs. rigatoni or penne or ziti, cooked Approximately 30 minutes. Heat olive oil in skillet, stir in onion. Sauté 5 minutes, till tender. Stir in garlic. Add tomatoes. Cook over medium heat, breaking up tomatoes, till boiling. Simmer sauce uncovered, until slightly thickened (about 15 minutes). Stir in seasonings. Serve over hot, cooked pasta.
