Guest guest
I like to make these. I don't even need a mixer. They take no egg or milk. Pete Date Snowballs Balls 1/2 cup butter or regular margarine, soften 1/3 cup confectioners sugar 1 tbsp water 1 tsp vanilla 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour, sifted 1 pinch of salt 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts about 1 cup of dates, pitted and chopped Preheat oven to 300 F. Cream butter and sugar together using a wooden spoon. Stir in the water and the vanilla. Add the sifted flour and the salt. Mix well. Stir in the dates and the nuts. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place 2 1/2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in a slow oven (300 F) for about 20 minutes or until the cookies are set but not brown. While warm, roll then in cinfectioner's sugar. Yield: about 2 1/2 dozen depending on size ______________________________\ ____ Looking for a deal?
