Guest guest
MOJITO Handful mint leaves (6-12) Simple syrup (1 tbsp) (this is simply same volume of water and sugar, heated until dissolved and allowed to cool). Juice of 1 juicy lime (about 1 oz) ½ lime rind after juicing 3 oz white rum (80 proof) Ice cubes Club soda or lime flavored club soda (for the top) Crush mint and syrup on side of glass (using back of a spoon or special tool if you have it) until you can smell the mint aroma. Add juice of 1 lime, ½ of a lime rind (the bitterness from the lime rind contributes to the flavor – and it looks nice too) add rum and stir. Add ice cubes, and top with club soda. This is supposed to be just like the ones Ernest Hemingway had in Havana.... WARNING - if you are driving, do not have more than one of these. , akfral wrote: > > > In a message dated 10/2/2007 9:50:32 P.M.
