Guest guest
I have a 3 tier sprouter and it works well. I love to sprout black beans the best. I have trouble in the summer, as the sprouts get moldy on me. Cooler / winter months I don't have this problem. I soak the smaller seeds (alfalfa, radish) for about 8 hours, then rinse and drain about 3 or 4 times a day until they look the right length, about 3 days. Larger seeds need to be soaked longer. Be interesting to see what everyone else does! On 10/1/07, Roxy <K9ChemoNurse@ <K9ChemoNurse%40aol.com> aol.com> wrote: > > Are there any sprouters out there? Guest guest
The bean will soften but will have a slight crunch, the sprout will be a bit peppery. I toss in salads, on sandwiches and even add to spreads. I like them on peanut butter sandwiches. They sprout fast. Guest guest
I sprout! i borrow my SIL's sprouter or use a wide mouth container. I eat them plain, on a sandwich, or on a salad but I haven't been in the mood for that lately. Mung beans are my favorite. My SIL does sunflower seeds, I haven't tried them yet. Saucy sprouts from the files are good. I don't cook them when I make that.
